Partners' Program

Enjoy The Partners' Program

Ok, so your plan is complete for “Connecting in the Capital” …what about your spouse and children? Don’t worry! We’ve got that covered with “Planes, Trains & Automobiles” -- three days, three exciting events! Come for one or try all three!

Planes: Take a look at some of Ottawa’s most popular attractions -- by plane! This aerial tour will include Parliament Hill, The Ottawa River, Casino du Lac Leamy and more.

Trains: “All Aboard!” Hop aboard one of Canada’s last remaining authentic steam-powered trains! Built in 1907, the country’s oldest excursion locomotive carries thousands of visitors, rail fans, nature lovers and adventurers to the picturesque tourist village of Wakefield. Relax in climate-controlled cars and let the sounds of the steam whistle and the “clickety clack” of the wheels carry you back to a by-gone era!

Automobiles: We will use the automobile to reach your choice of two destinations.

Option 1) Get ready to ride…a bicycle, that is! Ottawa/Hull boasts some of the best recreational pathways in North America and what better way for you to explore the nation's capital? Take a guided tour along the Rideau Canal (the world’s longest skating rink), Dow’s Lake & more!

Option 2) Would you rather be pampered? Visit the Third Avenue Spa located in the heart of Ottawa’s trendy Glebe area. Time to unwind & re-energize!

This year’s Partner Program Committee, Dovercourt Recreation Centre, is pleased to offer exciting activities to enhance your stay in Ottawa. Beyond the half day programmed events listed above, we will provide you with our top ten places to Eat, Shop, Visit and Entertain. In addition, we encourage you to bring your children to Ottawa: we can provide care and entertainment throughout the conference. Please contact Rachel de Waard at rdewaard@dovercourt.org for more details.
