Wage subsidies are available for Fall 2018 / Winter 2019 for Canadian municipalities, Indigenous communities and other sector organizations to hire Youth for Green Jobs
The Canadian Parks and Recreation Association (CPRA), on behalf of Employment and Social Development Canada (ESDC), is administering wage subsidies (up to 50%) to support the creation of new green jobs for youth in the Fall 2018 / Winter 2019 . The maximum wage subsidy offered through this program will be $5,712.00 for each youth/job.
The application deadline is August 10, 2018, 11:59 pm PST. Successful applicants will be notified by August 31, 2018. Up to 100 jobs will be funded in this round. Work terms must take place between September 1, 2018 - March 31, 2019.

This CPRA effort is part of the overall Government of Canada commitment outlined in the 2017 Federal Budget that committed to creating 15,000 new green jobs for young Canadians.
This project is funded by the Government of Canada’s Summer Work Experience Green Jobs Initiative.
