Harry Boothman Bursary

The Harry Boothman Bursary was established to honour the contributions of Harry Boothman to the parks and recreation sector. Harry served as Parks Supervisor for the City of Calgary, CPRA Board Member, and long-time supporter of the organization. This bursary reflects his belief in the continued development of professionals within the field.

This year, the bursary will support participation in the CPRA Summit (November 2026). Up to $2,000 in bursaries will be awarded to eligible recipients.

Applications are open to Parks and Recreation practitioners currently working full-time in the sector.

Further details regarding eligibility and how to apply will be announced shortly.

CPRA encourages you to consider nominating an individual or organization for one of these prestigious national awards. Applications open March 2, 2026. The deadline to apply is April 6, 2026. The nomination process is simple and fast.
