Review the Canadian Inclusive Greenspaces National Survey Results
Equitable access to parks and greenspaces is essential to community health, belonging, and well-being, and plays a critical role in advancing climate resilience, social connection, and Reconciliation across Canada. CPRA commissioned this national research to better understand how parks and greenspaces organizations across Canada are advancing Reconciliation and Anti-Racism, Equity, Diversity, Inclusion, and Belonging. This study represents the first national survey focused on community, urban, and peri-urban parks and greenspaces, drawing on responses from municipal, provincial, national, non-profit, and Indigenous-led organizations from across Canada. The report provides evidence to guide CPRA’s leadership, advocacy, and capacity-building efforts, and to support shared learning and system-level change across Canada’s parks and greenspaces sector.
