Pelham's Success with Girls At Bat

The most noteworthy impact of the Girls At Bat program was the impact it had on our organization, and staff within the organization. This program challenged staff members to go outside of the traditionally offered PD Day camp programming and try something with a new structure and goals beyond providing the community service of childcare for residents. The methods used during Girls at Bat and the teaching materials provided have allowed staff to shift their viewpoints and provided new tools that can be incorporated into future PD Day camp programming, summer camp programming, and the recreational opportunities offered to all youth within the Town of Pelham.
