Join the Conversation
We will invite leaders and innovators from across Canada to discuss and share leading practices for advancing equity, diversity, inclusion (EDI) and reconciliation in urban, peri-urban, and municipal parks. This event is limited in space however, we are excited to share the process and the outcomes with the entire parks sector. We will have a national survey launching in January, 2025 for local governments and land managers to share barriers, facilitators, and gaps in implementing EDI principles and reconciliation work within urban, peri-urban and municipal parks. This survey will help our sector better understand the alignment between personal and organizational values, and community engagement strategies, and identify "bright spots" in EDI practices, reconciliation actions, and gather actionable insights to foster inclusive and equitable park systems across Canada
